In 2007 I had a lousy sales job and I knew I'd rather be a bad artist than a successful sales person any day so in 2007 I left a meaningless sales job to become full time artist. I haven't regretted yet and I'm having so much fun! I'm attracted to ageless organic shapes and natural rhythm. Sometimes a chapter or a phrase in a book inspires me. Sometimes I dream it or daydream it. Sometimes it's a feeling I'm trying to express and sometimes, from a fun conversation with love ones comes out "wouldn't it be fun to build X,Y,Z " followed by "Why not?" I feel best when I am creating art, more alive. It keeps me from going insane. It gives me a sense of purpose. It's my way of contributing to a better world. I love walking around and touching something that before was just a thought. I prefer working on larger pieces as I like to be able to walk around a piece and see how it occupies a space, but there is great intimacy in creating smaller works. Mostly, I am having fun everyday making art.
